Travel Project First Quarter 2025
This is the third week of traveling to Oregon for this project. Travel: I flew out on Monday and returned on Friday. My flight to the client was uneventful. On time arrival but the most difficult part is then driving about four hours to the client. A clinic is going live on a new EMR so I am doing go live support. This means much walking around the clinic to help users. I have loved working with the people at this organization. They are wonderful humans. Accommodation: I’m staying at an Airbnb this week. Travel Project First Quarter 2025
Travel: The journey to and from my destination was relatively uneventful. However, I did encounter a minor issue during security check for a phone holder that triggered suspicion of being a potential weapon. Additionally, I was randomly selected to go through the x-ray machine, adding to the already eventful start of this project. Cuisine: While the food options were not outstanding, the pho I had on a damp and cold day 1 was decent. In contrast, the sandwich I had for lunch on day 2 in Oregon was quite good. On day 4, I had a satisfactory stir fry dish for lunch. The rest of the meals were not worth mentioning. Car Rental: The surrounding scenery of rugged terrain made for an interesting but slow drive. Due to the winter conditions, I was advised to only drive an AWD vehicle, a Nissan Rogue. Accommodation: The hotel was pleasant and tidy. The room didn’t have a desk so I had to improvised. However, it would have been nearly perfect if the room had a microwave and refrigerator.
