This is the third week of traveling to Oregon for this project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Travel: I flew out on Monday and returned on Friday.\u00a0\u00a0My flight to the client was uneventful.\u00a0\u00a0On time arrival but the most difficult part is then driving about four hours to the client.\u00a0\u00a0A clinic is going live on a new EMR so I am doing go live support.\u00a0\u00a0This means much walking around the clinic to help users.\u00a0\u00a0I have loved working with the people at this organization.\u00a0\u00a0They are wonderful humans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Accommodation: \u00a0I\u2019m staying at an Airbnb this week.\u00a0\u00a0I don\u2019t usually stay in Airbnb but the hotels in this town have low ratings so I am told by my team to NOT stay in the hotels.\u00a0I am staying in a 2 bedroom apartment.\u00a0\u00a0It\u2019s a quadplex building.\u00a0\u00a0It\u2019s really close to the clinic, which is great.\u00a0\u00a0However, the neighborhood is less than desirable.\u00a0\u00a0There is an odor in the apartment that was difficult to tolerate.\u00a0\u00a0I don\u2019t know if it\u2019s because they do allow pets but yeah, that definitely was not a good fit for me. The towels have seen better days.\u00a0\u00a0Silverwares could use an upgrade.\u00a0\u00a0Parking was right outside of the building and free so that was a plus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Food options: On Wednesday, we went to a food truck to try their fish and chips. It was good. On Thursday, we went to a bar and grill for lunch. I had a fish and chicken taco for lunch. I enjoyed it. I left the client around 5:30p on Thursday so I didn\u2019t get dinner until about 9:30pm. I used DoorDash. Sadly, there were only a few options since most restaurants were closed. I didn\u2019t appreciate that the restaurant replaced one item for another because they ran out of what I ordered. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
